ADABAS D RDBMS Linux Edition 10.0 is now available!
The long-awaited upgrade to ADABAS D RDBMS, Version 10.0, is finally
shipping. ADABAS D, one of the most popular SQL database solutions
available on the Linux platform, contains a number of new and useful
features, which are especially compelling for those in need of a
database solution for Web-based applications.

Improved WebDB Module, "WebDB II"

The popular WebDB Module has been improved to allow easier and more
flexible access to your database from your Web server. With the WebDB
module Adabas D becomes an RDBMS-based solution for managing WWW
documents on a web server. WebDB offers functions for storage and
database retrieval of web documents that consist of HTML pages and GIF
graphics. In addition it features the generation of dynamic Web pages
with embedded SQL commands. For a Web server this presents the
advantages of database-based data management which results in security
by backup, recovery and restart. WebDB is compatible with all web
servers that support CGI or the Netscape Programming Interface

ADABAS D offers end users, application developers, and database

GUI Control Tool allows remote administration of the database from any
desktop. Restarts, shutdowns, back-ups and recovery may be performed
remotely.

ADABAS D supports a remarkable variety of SQL dialects, namely ADABAS D,
ANSI, & Oracle. Existing applications written for a different SQL system
can be utilized under ADABAS D without having to modify code, simply by
the selection of the appropriate SQL mode.
