-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
The 3.0.0 release of the Linux PCMCIA Card Services package is now
available at:
ftp://hyper.stanford.edu/pub/pcmcia/pcmcia-cs-3.0.0.tar.gz
This is a major update from the last stable release (2.9.12). There
are many bug fixes and client driver updates, as well as many changes
to the core components, to support CardBus cards. The PCMCIA-HOWTO
has also been reorganized and expanded.
At this time, only one CardBus client driver is available, for the
3Com 3c575TX fast ethernet adapter. The source code for this driver
is not included in the 3.0.0 package, because it is a minor update to
the 3c59x PCI driver, destined to be part of the Linux kernel. For
now, it is available at:
ftp://hyper.stanford.edu/pub/pcmcia/NEW/3c59x.c
To install the 3c575 driver, after installing the 3.0.0 package, put
the 3c59x.c file in the pcmcia-cs-3.0.0/modules directory and do:
make install MODULES=3c59x_cb.o
I've attached the change log from 2.9.12.
