As a side effect of upgrading the hardware in our fire detection laboratory
(well, update is not yet complete) this driver has been developed in our
institute.

This driver supports Keithley DAS1600 data acquisition cards. It also
runs with some similar models and clones. We have tested the following
boards successfully:

              * Keithley DAS1601
              * Keithley DAS16 (with some retrictions)

The driver should also work with (but untested):

              * Keithley DAS1602
              * Keithley DAS1401/DAS1402
              * Keithley DAS1201/DAS1202
              * all clones that claim to be Keithley compatible

In detail, it supports:

              * Data acquisition in Poll, Interrupt and DMA Mode
              * Digital inputs
              * Analog outputs (incl. generation of periodic signals)
              * Digital outputs
              * Internal or external trigger
              * Different gain
              * In some operation modes gain per channel selectable
              * Data can be buffered by the driver
              * Up to 4 (four) cards in one computer (Keithley's driver
                supports only two)
              * Additional multiplexers


The package is distributed with some simple utilities that can be used as
programming examples.

WARNING: You are expected to know C programming. This is not a ready to
use Windows-like package. Furthermore, documentation is incomplete :(
