I'm pleased to announce the availability of Follow 2, a Web logfile tool for
usability analysis.

Instead of giving hit counts (like most Web log analysis tools), Follow
tracks 'User Sessions'. a User Session is one complete path that a user
takes through your site; Follow will reconstruct it from the logfiles.
Then, you have your choice of how to view the data. You can view
sessions directly, on a Page-by-Page basis to reveal how a particular
page is used, or in a Summary to highlight outstanding pages.

By using the Page-by-Page and Summary views, you can determine how long
users spend on a page, how they reach it, where they go from it and
other statistics. This information can help you design a more usable Web
site.

Follow gets the most possible information out of your log files, while
still being net-friendly; it doesn't require your users to run a java
browser, and doesn't force you to modify your site in any way.

Follow 2 is currently available for the following platforms:

* Linux ELF (intel)
* FreeBSD 2
* SunOs
* Solaris (sparc)

More platforms will be supported soon.

Follow 2 is shareware, and is reasonably priced for single sites, as
well as ISPs and Web Hosting firms. Educational and non-profit institutions
are not obliged to pay the license fee. More information, sample output and
demonstration copies are available from
